Viện Hàn lâm Khoa học và Điện ảnh Mỹ (AMPAS) ngày 13/1 đã công bố đề cử 24 hạng mục trong lễ trao giải Oscar lần 92. Sự kiện điện ảnh được mong chờ nhất trong năm dự kiến diễn ra vào ngày 9/2 ở thành phố Los Angeles.

Đứng đầu danh sách là bộ phim “Joker” của đạo diễn Todd Phillips với tổng cộng 11 đề cử, trong đó có hạng mục danh giá như Phim xuất sắc nhất và Đạo diễn xuất sắc nhất. 

“The Irishman” dù trắng tay trong Quả Cầu Vàng 2020, nhưng đã chia sẻ vị trí thứ hai trong đề cử Oscar 2020 cùng với “1917” và “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” với 10 đề cử cho mỗi phim.

Bất ngờ năm nay là bộ phim “Parasite” (Ký sinh trùng) của đạo diễn Hàn Quốc Bong Joon-ho được đề cử 6 giải tại Oscar 2020. Đây cũng là lần đầu tiên điện ảnh Hàn Quốc lọt vào vòng cuối cùng của Phim quốc tế xuất sắc – hạng mục từng mang tên Phim nói tiếng nước ngoài xuất sắc.

Lễ trao giải thưởng điện ảnh Oscar thường niên là sự kiện được phát sóng trực tiếp từ Hollywood, trên kênh truyền hình ABC và được tiếp sóng tại hơn 225 quốc gia và vùng lãnh thổ trên toàn thế giới.

Danh sách đề cử hạng mục Nam diễn viên chính xuất sắc nhất, gồm: Antonio Banderas (trong phim Pain and Glory), Leonardo DiCaprio (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood), Adam Driver (Marriage Story), Joaquin Phoenix (Joker) và Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes).

Hạng mục Nữ diễn viên chính xuất sắc nhất dự kiến sẽ là cuộc tranh tài giữa Cynthia Erivo (Harriet) Saoirse Ronan (Little Women), Scarlett Johansson (Marriage Story), Charlize Theron (Bombshell), và Renee Zellweger (Judy).

Hạng mục Phim quốc tế xuất sắc nhất gồm các phim: Corpus Christi (Ba Lan), Les Miserables (Pháp), Honeyland (Cộng hòa Bắc Macedonia), Pain and Glory (Tây Ban Nha) và Parasite (Hàn Quốc).

Hạng mục Đạo diễn xuất sắc nhất gồm: Bong Joon-ho (với phim Parasite), Todd Phillips (Joker), Sam Mendes (1917), Martin Scorsese (The Irishman), và Quentin Tarantino (Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood).
